We join the houseguests right after the nomination ceremony on Day 51 and Bruno is happy that Ashleigh put Sarah on the block. Godfrey doesn't seem to be even remotely concerned with winning the PoV because he feels he's the eviction block escape artist. I guess it's better than being a pawn star. Sarah feels everyone hates her and she really wants Brittnee to win the PoV and take her off the block, forcing Ashleigh to put up Bruno because there's no way in Sarah's mind that Ashleigh would put up a member of her alliance.
Ashleigh doesn't like the idea of getting blood on her hands but as the HoH she has no choice. Zach needs to keep her head in the game but she really doesn't want to lie to Sarah and say she's not the target and she asks Pilar and Zach what she should do. Ashleigh really hates to lie to anyone. Sarah asks Zach and he has no such problem lying to her, but she doesn't trust him as far as she can throw him, and that's not very far. She's right though, Zach is a terrible liar.
Time for the PoV competition. The six players are Ashleigh, Sarah and Godfreywho pick Bruno, Zach and Brittnee. That leaves Pilar as the competition host. The worst case for Ashleigh is if Brittnee actually wins the competition and takes Sarah off, but what are the odds of that? Pilar is her usual happy self being named the host.
Pilar calls everyone to the livingroom. Before the competition the houseguests have to watch a video of the map of Canada and they need to memorize where a bunch of Ramada's are. Zach feels he's got this in the bag as he knows the map of Canada because he's Captain Canada. Now it's time for the players to prove who is the least geographically challenged. Players need to pin the Ramada locations correctly on a giant map in the backyard.
Zach goes first and has no problem. Sarah gets Dartmouth and Brittnee picks Lac la Biche. Who knew there was a Ramada in Lac La Biche. Both Sarah and Brittnee are giving it their all to keep themselves safe but this is a two part challenge and nobody knows what the other half entails yet. Godfrey throws it as usual, followed by Bruno who missed his next one and blames failing Grade 9 geography. Zach and Sarah are both doing really well but in the end Zach has 6, Sarah has 5, and everyone else had 4 except Godfrey who only got 2 by the end of part one.
Part two is a big pachinko game and the better you did in the first part the more shots you have in the second. The winner not only wins the PoV but also 250,000 Wyndham Reward points. Now Godfrey has something to play for. This is all just luck and unfortunately, Ashleigh is the first one to be eliminated. The next round eliminates Bruno. The third round removes Brittnee and the risk of her saving Sarah. The fourth round gets rid of Godfrey and it's down to Zach or Sarah. The final round eliminates Zach as Sarah actually wins the PoV and a whole lotta Wyndham Reward points. Surprising herself even more than the others. Nicely done but bittersweet as it probably means bye bye Brittnee.
Sarah was sure she was going home but now she gets to stay but she's afraid that it means Brittnee will be her replacement. Zach is definitely pushing for that as it's best for his game but Ashleigh is not going to be dictated to and its still her HoH. Meanwhile, Sarah and Brittnee spend time consoling one another and Sarah is really sorry that she has to use the PoV on herself. She'd be crazy not to and Brittnee understands that. She doesn't like it, but she understands it.
Sarah is still upset that Canada voted her and Brittnee to be Have Nots this week. Sarah knows she's about to be all alone in the game but Brittnee just tells her not to cry. The whole "poor me" whimper isn't really necessary from either of them. Sarah is being a lot more emotional about it. They seem to have forgotten that it's just a game, . . . until the floor opens up in the Have Not room. They're both OMGing all over (mostly Brittnee) and now they find that they've been chosen to be Have Nots so that they can compete for the biggest secret power in the game. This part was pretty cool as a message came down from the ceiling. They need to open the safe that rose out of the floor in front of them to receive a never before seen power that only the winner will understand. They need to go to the Vault to begin their mission.
This could be a big game changer in the house if either of them can open that safe and it's a sure bet that one of them will or production would have edited it out. Inside the Vault they've been told they can't work together and that it's a time challenge. They only have so long to answer three clues, the answers of which are hidden in the house.
The clues aren't really important to us but there's a lot of pressure on both of them to win as they race around the house. Apparently the other houseguests are in lockdown somewhere else in the house. Brittnee thinks she has it but she's wrong, so she goes back to count rivets on the front door because she figures that's where she went wrong. Back to the safe for some random guesswork. Finally "Access Granted" and Brittnee races back to the Have Not room and opens the safe to reveal two "Safe" which will allow her to use one or both Saves to replace Ashleigh's nominees with her own, . . . as long as she doesn't reveal the power to anyone before the vote. The catch is that she has to replace at least one nominee. That should be easy if she goes up as the replacement for Sarah.
Sarah and Brittnee need to keep looking depressed for a few more days but it's gonna be hard to keep masking their giggles with tears. Sarah knows that Brittnee has the secret power and hopes it keeps them both safe and Brittnee can be her hero. At least Bruno is being kinda supportive of their dilemma and tells them to stay strong. Yeah, he's not going to feel so supportive if he and Zach are put up on the block.
Time for the PoV ceremony and this should be interesting. If Sarah doesn't remove herself the rest of the house will know something is up. Sarah gives Godfrey a chance to plead his case and he says she should just save everyone some stress and keep the nominations the same . . . but it's no surprise that Sarah has decided to use the PoV on herself. With that done Ashleigh puts Brittnee up as expected and that concludes the PoV ceremony.
Godfrey's starting to sweat a little now because every time someone sits beside Brittnee they go home. Uh oh. Maybe Brittnee will use the secret power on Wednesday to save them both but she'll definitely use it to save herself so she and Sarah are guaranteed to stay in the house. Godfrey, not so safe anymore.
I'll be back to give everyone an update on Wednesday as to who Brittnee saves with her super power following my weekly Survivor review. For the main event be sure to come back Friday to read both our reviews on the Amazing Race finale when Mike & Rochelle, despite having everything against them, win it all. Okay, it's a guess and I wouldn't put money on it, but it's statistically possible. See you all back here on Wednesday.
