We join Arisa on a quiet stage where she confirms that tonight there will be a Special Eviction ceremony and another houseguest will be evicted from the house, and then we get the long-running "previously" feed that eventually ends as we join the houseguests when Arisa caLos them all to the livingroom, scaring the heck out of Godfrey who was laying on the couch when the screen lit up.
Everyone races to the livingroom and both Sarah and Brittnee tell Arisa she looks gorgeous. No need to suck up now girls. Arisa tells them she has big news and then let's them know that in less than an hour another one of them will be leaving the house. They knew another eviction was coming but they didn't expect it so soon.
Time to backtrack to the end of the nomination ceremony where Sarah put Ashleigh and Godfrey on the block. I still like how she used Godfrey's quote against him. Sarah is desperate to keep her girl Brittnee in the house but this is all going to depend on the PoV. Godfrey knows that he's promised something to everyone in the house at some point but the only person he's loyal to is Godfrey. He ends up in the pantry to be sure that he's tight with Sarah and Brittnee to get Ashleigh out, but they kinda walked out on him.
Godfrey follows Brittnee to the HoH room in an attempt to make her afraid to take Ashleigh to the final three. He plays a good game, I'll give him that. She already knows that Ashleigh needs to go because she has too many friends in the jury but she tells Godfrey she's still weighing the pros and cons. So off Godfrey goes to check in with Ashleigh. He tells her what she already knows, that Sarah and Brittnee are definitely taking each other all the way, but he's still gotta play both sides to the end. In for a penny, in for a pound.
Ashleigh has proven herself to be the one to beat at PoVs and Godfrey wants to make sure he's safe when it comes to the vote. He assures her he's taking her to the final two and he might. At least it would be a reasonably fair choice for the jury as neither one of them really has any enemies there. Sarah and Brittnee have nothing but.
Time for the PoV competition. Out in the backyard is a huge model train setup circling two long tables, there are two trains going in opposite directions along the tracks and each car has a number on it. Those numbers are the answers to the clues on top of the buildings alongside the track. The houseguests need to build Main Street by putting the buildings in order. Each train represents a separate side of the street and when they feel they have their street in order they need to rush out and hit the buzzer. The houseguests with the fastest time wins the PoV.
Sarah is up first and she needs to win if she wants to keep Brittnee safe. She starts putting the buildings in order and as a Superfan has been keeping track of when certain events happened. She starts out strong but then she starts to slow down as she realizes that not every clue has a corresponding number. She finally figures out what she was doing wrong but she's thinking she took far too long. Sarah feels like she should just throw herself onto the tracks, but that's a little too much artificial drama, even for her.
Godfrey's turn in the competition and he's been doing really well with most of the memory challenges this season, aside from the ones he purposefully threw. He gets all his buildings in place really fast and hits his buzzer, but he's wrong. So much for being smarter than Socrates. Second try? Nope. Third time's the charm for our man Godfrey.
Ashleigh starts by looking at the clues first and she needs this PoV more than anyone. She keeps her cool as she sets everything up and she's thankful that Zach went over all the events in the house with her before his eviction. She's starting to panic as she gets down to the last few buildings. Her first shot was wrong so she races back, makes a switch and she's done.
Time for the Brittnee Express and she wants that PoV to ensure she stays off the block. She's not to sure about her memory of events so this could be a problem, . . . and it is. Again, and again, as her chance of winning just keeps chug-chug-chugging further and further away. Brittnee figures she's wasted enough time and she tells Big Brother she'd like to stop as the Brittnee Express runs out of steam.
The winner, with a time of 18:55 is Ashleigh, who has once again pulled herself out of the flames. So much for Sarah's master plan. Now Brittnee needs to convince Ashleigh that she's better to take to the end than Godfrey. Ashleigh is up in the bedroom celebrating with her imaginary friends when Godfrey comes in to try to ensure his safety. Brittnee shouldn't be far behind. She's pretty sure she needs to separate the power duo but that runs the risk of losing to Godfrey. Regardless they do the happy dance.
Brittnee is really down on herself for quitting but after 90 minutes it was pretty obvious she was done. She still wants to make it to the final two with Sarah and it could still happen but it's not looking good. Brittnee is all in tears in the Diary room because she feels she let her friend Sarah down. Now Sarah is all teary-eyed in the HoH room to be losing her "sister". It's just a game girls.
Arisa tells the houseguests that there's a Special Eviction and now everyone is talking to Ashleigh. Brittnee goes to Ashleigh and tells her that she thinks it should be her and Ashleigh in the final two and Ashleigh trusts her even though she's lying to her. Ashleigh then goes to Godfrey and he tells her the same thing, but he's actually more likely to follow through because he can still out talk all the girls.
Arisa calls everyone back to the livingroom. Everyone is a little confused. Arisa tells Ashleigh she has all the power and Ashleigh uses the PoV to save herself and now Sarah has no choice but to put Brittnee back up on the block. Ashleigh is the only one voting but both nominees get their chance to plead their case. Godfrey gives another great speech and throws both Brittnee and Sarah under the bus. Brittnee then gets up and apologizes for sending everyone home and tries to convince Ashleigh to keep her to better her odds in the end. Ashleigh stands and chooses to evict . . . Brittnee who played an intense game but has to go. Brittnee gives everyone a hug and then Arisa makes it official as Brittnee heads out. She came in a pawn but she goes out a queen.
Ashleigh and Godfrey both go and give Sarah a big hug as she wells up with tears and we have our final three. It's not the final three I would have thought of at the start, I assumed Kevin would still be there, but it's a good final three.
We join Arisa on stage as she welcomes Brittnee out to an empty audience. Arisa points out that Brittnee was on the block 6 times and still made it to final four and Brittnee says she couldn't have done it without Sarah. She made big moves. She says her relationship with Sarah was very real and she feels they'll remain friends for life. Brittnee is rooting for Sarah to win and intend to campaign the jury for her. With that, off Brittnee goes to jury.
One more surprise for the houseguests as Arisa calls the final three back to the livingroom. Because there are now ten people in the jury, and they can't have a tie, the houseguests need to choose someone to evict from the jury house. Arisa then sends them to the Vault to begin their deliberations. My wife has already figured out a great system to decide who goes out, now I just need to see if the houseguests come to the same conclusion.
The houseguest all need to agree who will be evicted and Ashleigh, Sarah and Godfrey are locked in the Vault until they come to a unanimous decision. Their system is pretty close to what my wife suggested, they each decide who they want to keep in the jury but unfortunately they can't make unanimous decisions because they've all got enemies in the jury. Godfrey feels he's got no chance because he's been a floater all along. Sarah has no problem picking two ex-houseguests she feels will vote for her and Ashleigh can pick two pretty quickly, but Godfrey doesn't trust anyone in the jury. This is where his gameplay to float to the end with no blood on his hands has finally backfired on him. Tempers start to rise as we fade out and Arisa reminds us to come back for the two hour finale on Wednesday.
So there you have it. We're close to the end in the Big Brother Canada house and I'll be back on Wednesday to let you know who wins it all. After that I'll take a short break before Wayne and I return with a few surprises of our own as we review The Amazing Race Canada when it starts up again as of July 8th. They've moved it to a Wednesday this season and that works just great for our Thursday video review. Be sure and pop back on Wednesday and don't forget to check back in at Gord & Wayne HQ in July for the main event. See you soon.
