The next morning it's time for the arena duel . . . Vytas, Tina and Laura. Jeff brings attention to Ciera voting out her mom and Laura tears up but she says she's proud of her daughter. Today's duel; . . . race to remove four coloured cubes from a long rope tunnel and then stack them with no two colors together. Two will move on, while the other joins Aras In the jury.
Vytas is just zooming through his cubes with Laura right behind as they both roll out their third, Tina is a full cube behind when Laura and Vytas start working on the puzzle. Tina finally gets her last cube out and as she's starting on her stack Laura calls it. Jeff checks and Laura wins. Now that she's won she starts to direct Tina what goes where but Vytas catches on and starts listening too. When Tina calls it, Vytas is directly behind her but just a little too late.
Vytas, after 27 days, is done and off to the jury. He knows that he and his brother were taken out because they were a huge threat and he's okay with that. Not sure he likes Jeff pointing out he was beaten by a couple of Moms, but those are pretty tough Moms. When Aras returned from Survivor last time no one could relate to his experience but now they'll return together with that shared experience and a stronger bond. Good attitude.
With the win comes the clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol. Laura gives the clue to Ciera but Ciera takes the risk and burns it. She feels pretty secure in her alliance with Tyson. Hope she's right about that.
Back at Kasama the tribe discuss the Mom Alliance that took out Vytas. Tyson starts warning everyone that they need to vote out Katie, but Hayden is starting to think it may be time to make a move. It's time to take out Tyson and Caleb takes the time to give Katie the heads up. Katie's pretty happy about that change of fortune because she's been sitting at the bottom for a long time. Then Caleb and Hayden go to Ciera who tells them what they want to hear . . . and then she runs straight back to Tyson.
That night Tyson chats with Gervase about what Ciera said and now they're looking to target Hayden or Caleb, who think they've taken control. Funny thing about who you trust in this game. Ciera is all "I don't feel I can trust them" when she's talking to Tyson, and yet she's doing the exact same thing she accuses them of and can't see it.
Day 28 and everyone's looking a little tense. When Ciera and Tyson go to check treemail, the boys feel she's gonna rat them out. It's a little late for that because she already did. Treemail let's them know that tonight's challenge is going to involve "hanging on."
Today's Immunity Challenge; hold on to a bucket carrying 25% of your body weight, when the bucket falls so do your chances. If someone feels they don't need immunity they can skip the challenge and enjoy barbecued steak, chicken, iced tea, and more. The decision to sit out is based on coloured rocks, black rocks get to eat, white rocks get to play. Tyson, Gervase and Ciera must all feel pretty secure as they all chose black rocks and can now eat as long as the challenge lasts. That could be a mistake for Ciera but at least Tyson has the Hidden Immunity Idol. Good thing because he may still need to play it.
Katie's bucket starts to jiggle early on but the rest are pretty solid, especially Monica's. Jeff asks Hayden if it bothers him that the other three feel so secure and he says it'll bother him more if he loses. About 12 minutes in Katie can't hold on any longer and she's out. 20 minutes and the boys buckets have dropped a bit, even Monica's has shifted a little. After winding his bucket back up, Caleb can no longer take the pain and down comes the bucket. Two players left.
Hayden winds his bucket up again as it keeps slipping, but no matter what he does it's not enough and his bucket comes crashing down. Monica wins her third Individual Immunity Challenge. The trio swallow their last bite and everyone heads back to camp.
Once there Tyson goes on about how soft and tender the steak was, but in his defence he was asked. Hayden knows he can trust Caleb and Katie but he no longer feels he can trust Ciera and needs a new plan. Caleb brings up the idea of going directly to Tyson and asking if they're on the blindside list. So they do.
Hayden tells Tyson that Ciera has them a little concerned that they're the target and Tyson reveals that Ciera came to him and told him they were targeting him. Now Tyson feels that Ciera is playing both sides, but he's not sure. They now all agree to vote out Ciera but as soon as they separate it's pretty obvious that none of the boys trust each other any more than they trust Ciera. Tyson feels he may need the extra insurance of the idol but he goes to Gervase for feedback about the boys coming to him. Like I said before, it's all about trust, and as Gervase says, "if you trust the wrong person, you're going home."
Time for Tribal Council and Jeff calls the three on feeling so secure they can sit out a challenge. Caleb wasn't surprised even that Ciera sat out. Ciera defends her decision with the fact that she knew she couldn't win so why not eat. Seriously, 25% of her body weight would be what . . . 20lbs? Tyson actually figured more of his alliance would sit it out. Jeff talks about trust with Gervase who reveals that he feels he can trust his alliance but he has noticed some paranoia, which Hayden admits to. Will there be a blindside? Will Ciera be shocked if it's her? Will Tyson play the idol? Time to vote.
Jeff grabs the votes and calls for the Hidden Immunity Idol and Tyson looks around then motions for Jeff to wait as he reaches for his bag. He pulls out a few things and says it's in here somewhere, finally dumping the whole bag out to find it, then takes it to Jeff. It is indeed a Hidden Immunity Idol so any votes cast for Tyson won't count.
Ciera, Caleb, Ciera, Ciera, Caleb, Caleb, and finally Caleb. Interesting that Tyson didn't feel safe enough not to play the idol but he did turn on his alliance with Hayden and Caleb. Wise move for Tyson but unfortunate for Caleb, who may soon end up the next member of the jury, despite his warm welcome at Redemption Island by Tina and Laura.
Next week, with nothing left to lose, Hayden throws everything on the table and let's everyone know that, if Tyson makes it to the end, Tyson wins. That desperate move may even work for him, . . . and if it doesn't he gets to join the others at Redemption Island. Maybe Gervase will take this time to finally make a move and come out from under Tyson's shadow, . . . Then again, maybe not.
