It's getting down to the wire as we go into these last two episodes. With the last Tribal Council going to rocks it's going to be anyone's game with only five players left on the evening of day 32. Katie's arrival at Redemption Island was a bit of a shock for her mother but it's going to make for a tough duel in the morning. Tina is actually considering letting her daughter win the duel but I don't see that being helpful because there's no way she'd last after the next one.
Back at Kasama everyone was surprised by how things turned out. Hayden was hoping for Tyson to draw the white rock, but it didn't play out that way. So far Monica is still chummy with Tyson and Gervase but who knows how long that's going to last. Even though Tyson is annoyed by her constant talking he did reveal to her that he found the idol again. Now she's feeling out of the loop and that's going to heighten her paranoia, which will probably increase her talking, which will annoy Tyson, which will . . . Well, this could prove interesting.
Day 33 at the Kasama camp and Ciera finally realizes she's number four. Time to make a move and she turns to Hayden. It's about bloody time. Now they need to focus on splitting the alliance of three.
At the Redemption Island Arena Tina, Laura and Katie are ready to duel. Jeff asks Tina if she's even capable of giving 100% in this challenge and Tina admits it's going to be hard. Today's challenge has them creating a long stick out of pieces to create a pole long enough to reach a key ring, and strong enough to carry the weight of the key back. They need to grab three keys then use the keys to unlock three locks and open the door to move on.
Laura, as usual, is in the lead and quickly gets her first key, and as Katie gets her first key Laura gets her second. Laura is now on her third key and done before Tina has her first. Laura has now unlocked the first lock, now her second lock as Tina gets her first key, and now Laura has all three locks and has won the duel again. Katie drops her second key into the sand as Tina gets her second and now Tina is bringing back her third key. Tina keeps asking if Katie is okay with it and Katie says to just do it . . . so Tina does. Tina gets second place and Katie is off to the jury.
You can see the emotions between mother and daughter, and how much they love each other, but with a big farewell hug it's time for Katie to go. Realistically this is not her game. I think they should try Amazing Race. Laura gets the clue again and takes it up to Ciera. Too bad it's already been found. Laura and Tina return to Redemption Island and the others head back to camp.
At camp Ciera shares the clue with Hayden and they start looking for the idol. They know it's supposed to be out on a limb somewhere but when Monica walks by it's pretty obvious what's going on. Monica reports back to her alliance and when she and Gervase have some one on one time he starts asking who she trusts and how much. He's glad she trusts him and she's thankful they've kept her in the alliance but she's not playing the game for them.
Ciera and Hayden have figured out that one of the others probably has the idol and now they need to flip Monica to their side and blindside Tyson. It's a great plan if they can carry it out. With Tyson's general annoyance with Monica always asking questions and needing to know what's going on it should be easy enough to set them against each other and then the whole game flips. Come to the light side Monica, we have cookies. What if she doesn't like cookies?
Time for the immunity challenge and it's back into the water everyone. To win today's challenge they need to dive into the water and guide a buoy along a rope out to a post floating in the water, around the post, and back to shore, then release a bag of letter tiles and complete the eight word puzzle. Along with the Immunity Necklace the winner also receives a reward, which is a selection of food delivered to camp for their personal enjoyment.
Tyson is the first one in the water and the first one back to shore, then Hayden, then Monica, then Gervase and finally, dead last, is Ciera. They need to form an eight word phrase so this could take awhile. Ciera finally gets her tiles out while everyone else is well into the competition. Tyson thinks he has something but it's not quite right. Ciera refuses to give up and may actually win. She has six of eight words and . . . Ciera wins the Immunity Necklace. Nicely done. They all look pretty surprised.
She also gets the reward and is allowed to pick someone to join her and she picks Hayden right away. That could have been a mistake with only five players left, and Monica doesn't look pleased with the decision, but it is what it is. If she picked Monica it would have given her a chance to try and flip her, if she had picked Tyson it would have left Hayden that opportunity, but by picking Hayden she's shown that she knows she's number four. That, and the immunity necklace, gives her the chance to be the wild card for a change. Hope it works for her.
Ciera is counting on being in this until her mom comes back in and her reason for choosing Hayden was to prove she's not scared of Tyson. Unfortunately it allows Tyson to enforce his plan to vote out Hayden. Ciera and Hayden have decided that Monica is the crack in the alliance of three so it's time to work that angle.
When she goes to Monica and tells her that Tyson has been using her and keeping her on a leash it starts working. Monica didn't like being told she's a puppy on a leash and she sounds like she intends to rock the boat. So Monica becomes the swing vote and it could be Gervase out tonight. After seeing the two women together, Tyson has started to get nervous.
At Tribal Coucil Jeff starts with Ciera about the moves made at last Tribal. Hayden needs to shut up though about the reason for drawing rocks or this is all going to fall apart. Monica mentions her chat with Ciera and Jeff asks Tyson if he's nervous about it. When there are so few players left the claws come out. As the guys argue back and forth, mostly Gervase and Hayden, Monica just stays quiet. When Jeff asks how she's doing, she says she's fine with where she is and she'll play her game. I guess we'll see what the game is right away.
Hayden believes that Monica is being used by Tyson and Gervase, while Tyson is saying he isn't using her and has always asked her opinion. If you've been following the show you know who's playing who, but the players don't have all that information. Time to vote.
Jeff asks for the Hidden Immunity Idol but Tyson doesn't play it so he pulls the votes; Hayden, Gervase, Hayden, Gervase, one vote left . . . Hayden. Hayden should have shut up because I'm pretty sure because whatever he said managed to undo the plan Ciera had put together and Monica stuck with her alliance even when it should be obvious that they're using her. To be fair, so were Hayden and Ciera but they really had no choice. Ciera's going to need to win the next few immunity challenges if she wants to make it to the end.
Next week is the two hour finale with two immunity challenges and at this point I'm voting for Laura to return and kick everybody's ass. Still can't believe Monica didn't flip. See you all on Sunday for the finale.
