We open tonight with the usual review of last week's merge and it's outcome within the new tribes, and then it's the Blue Light Special as we return to the Solana camp after Tribal. There's no time wasted getting to that showdown as Lindsey is seriously ticked and tears into Trish when they get back to camp. I can understand her feeling almost as blindsided as Cliff but she's breaking down a lot more than anyone expected. Somebody better hide the sharp objects while Lindsey walks off on her own into the night.
While Lindsey is off in the dark, here comes Jeff for a little one on one in answer to her call. Lindsey bares her concerns about how much she really hates Trish and she just wants out. Lindsey wants to quit because she's afraid she's gonna snap and doesn't want her daughter to see that. I can understand her reasoning but I still question it. As much as Jeff hates when somebody quits he admits it's a first for someone to quit because they're afraid of what they might do. He accepts it and he heads over to the camp where he gives the tribe the heads up that Lindsey has quit. Two for the price of one, as Tony says. Unfortunately it puts Woo in a bad position. And all that before the title credits.
Day 15 and it's time for a little Reward challenge, as the Aparri Tribe gets a look at what's left of the Solana tribe. They're surprised that Cliff was voted out, but even more surprised that Lindsey quit. Spencer is about as impressed by that turn of events as Jeff, but it betters his odds in the game so he's fine with it. Today's Reward challenge has one member of each tribe enter an arena and balance an idol on a stand in one hand while attempting to knock the idol out of their opponents hand, the Reward is a camp raid.
First up it's Spencer vs Woo, there's a little dancing around and then Spencer makes the lunge and knocks Woo's idol off the stand. Yeah, he lost his in the process but the point is made based on who hits the ground first. One point for Aparri. Next it's Tasha vs Trish, this time there's lots of swatting at each other but in the end Tasha loses. One point for Solana. The match of Sarah vs Jefra, looks like it might be good but Jefra see less when she should have wobbled loses her idol's balance. Two points for Aparri.
It's the match of the mountain men as we get Jeremiah vs LJ, right up until Jeremiah begins bouncing his idol all over the place by himself and LJ just watches it fall. Two points for Solana. Followed by a bit of an imbalance with Morgan vs Tony, but it's pretty much no contest as Tony just charges into her and over the idol goes. Three points for Solana.
It's come full circle and this could be game point as we have Spencer vs Woo again, with Woo looking all focused, and still while Spencer keeps feigning an attack, right until Woo lunges and wins. Four points Solana and they win the Reward challenge. Solana selects two people, Tony and Woo, to go back to the Aparri camp and Jeff gives them a sealed package that they can't read until they arrive at the other camp.
When they arrive at Aparri, Tony &Woo step away to read the information which tells them what they can steal from the other tribe. They also received a clue for a Hidden Immunity Idol back at their camp but they say that they can give it to someone. They choose to give the clue to Jeremiah, who has already seen this clue, and then help themselves to the comfort items before heading home.
When they return to Solana, Tony reveals to his tribe how they planted a big target on Jeremiah because they see him as the biggest threat. LJ points out that Tony's way to prove he's trustworthy was to lie, which he found a bit "different." Yeah, that's one way of putting it. Tony is definitely playing "all out" in the game and I wonder if that's part of his strategy or his personality. I'm going with the latter.
Back at the Aparri camp everyone is now wary of Jeremiah and wondering if they can trust him. Alexis goes to Spencer to discuss her concerns. When they approachJeremiah he tells them it's the same clue they had at their old camp. He's obviously figured out what Tony was doing but Spencer doesn't believe him. Well played Tony.
Time for the Immunity Challenge; the tribes must use wooden poles to build a staircase, then race through a maze to untie a knot, then one member gets to slide down a slide, untie a key and release a machete, then they had to cut through to free the puzzle pieces which would allow the rest of the tribe to leave the maze, then two members would solve the puzzle and use the numbers to unlock and raise their flag to win immunity.
Both teams race across to their posts to find that the field is like a mud pit. Aparri is quick and gets their staircase built and moves into the maze, Solana catches up in a hurry and Woo is working on the maze not and then Woo moves ahead down the slide, Tony for Solana and Jeremiah for Aparri racing to untie the key and Jeremiah gets it first, gets his machete and frees his puzzle pieces. Aparri is ahead building their three number puzzle, but not by much. Both tribes are working on their second number when LJ and Woo disassemble their first and try start again, but this time they're on a roll. Appari starts to panic and falls behind as LJ races to the combination lock, taking a hard fall just before the lock but it's not enough for the Aparri tribe as LJ releases the flag and Solana wins immunity.
With all the hooting and hollering across from her, Sarah overheard Tony going on about final five and realized there's only five on the Solana tribe and she's not one of those five. Time for her to move on.
Theres not a lot of joy at the Aparri camp this afternoon after losing the challenge. Everyone is talking about Tony's comment and they're still targeting Jeremiah because they're suspicious. Alexis is sure he's gonna flip as soon as they merge and she tells Spencer that. Spencer agrees that Jeremiah being blindsided may be a good plan, but the Brains may have another plan that removes Alexis. Finally the Brains seem to have a focus.
Off to Tribal they go, where Sarah finally gets her torch, and Jeff points out the 3 Brains and 3 Beauty kinda leaves Sarah out in the cold. Spencer wants to unify the tribe and not focus on the fractures. Sarah again mentions Tony's comment and how she's done with that tribe, but she's worried it may be too late. Alexis mentions the Hidden Immunity clue that Tony gave to Jeremiah, who reveals it was an old clue from the other camp but nobody's too sure. Tasha says that either Jeremiah or Alexis may flip, and Alexis basically agrees. Not exactly her brightest moment.
Time to vote and everyone looks a little unsure of where they stand tonight. Jeff gathers the votes and asks for the Hidden Immunity Idol but nobody plays one so Jeff reads the votes, . . . Jeremiah, Alexis, Alexis, Alexis (her eyes are almost as wide as Woo's last week), and Alexis. That's enough and she's out. You can hear her crying as she walks into the darkness and Jeff points out that they finally seem to have a unified tribe, but how deep does that unity run. Good question.
Next week there's a merge coming and one person holds all the cards. Unfortunately for her, it's not Alexis who sobs out her farewell message about thinking she'd have done better. Overall she did pretty good, just not good enough. Hope everyone enjoys the review and remember to check out our video blog about The Amazing Race. Until next week.
