So one of the shots was a bunch of folks in a saloon. And then there was this quick close-up that blew my mind, totally blew my fucking mind. Sure my language is bad (come on, I write crime novels for a living so suck it up if you don't like me working blue), but holy shit, I'm still stunned! I rewound, found the spot again ,paused my PVR and took a crappy phone photo of it. Anybody recognize that dude drinking beers in Fort Edmonton Park? Did Gord become part of a task on Amazing Race Canada? Do you think that's Gord? If so, leave a comment, yah or nay. Of course, he has no idea what I'm talking about. Total denial. I mean even if that is him, he couldn't tell me anyway, legal stuff and all. But man, if that is him, I was completely kept in the dark about it, I had no inkling that such a thing ocurred. And if that is him, I'm not sure what I'm pissed off more about: that he was involved in Amazing Race Canada and I wasn't; or that he went out for beers without me.
Not My Post but Holy Crapola Amazing Race Canada Blew my Frickin' Mind with Tonight's Episode9/7/2015 You know it's really hard to write this post tonight. It's been a long night with a gathering of literary types in Edmonton and then band practice. But then I watched the entire episode, laughed at some parts, knew how it would end up about halfway through (didn't we all). And then they did the next week teaser. Cool, they came to Edmonton. I sort of knew that cause one of our followers told me to keep an eye out. Man, I hate spoilers. Anyway, they showed some nice shots of my fair city and a bit of Fort Edmonton, which my kid really loves. And my buddy Gord is a huge volunteer there. He's their Father Christmas every year and was the Mayor of Fort Edmonton for Halloween last year. So one of the shots was a bunch of folks in a saloon. Okay, I was going to finish this up tonight but I'm just too damn tired. I wrote a whole bunch of my recap and then somehow, probably from my own silliness, I lost it. I'll be back tomorrow. You guys can comment on whether that's Gord or not.
