We start as usual with the recap of the last episode where we get to watch the Brains self-destruct all over again. Then we return to the Brains camp directly after council to find Spencer and J'Tia discussing where Garrett went wrong. Where to start. Kass feels that her move to get rid of Garrett will keep J'Tia loyal to her. It's possible but this is Survivor so I doubt that's gonna last long.
Over at the Brawn's camp Tony starts to chat with Sarah and reveals he is a cop. She knew it all along and felt better about her instincts. Welcome to Cops R Us, but if Tony isn't careful his stories about Cliff and Lindsey are gonna backfire and all the Blue Blood in the world ain't gonna help him. Cue the storm clouds. Great light show for the night but everything is now soaked. Maybe they should of built a better shelter.
With the light of morning it finally dawns on them to improve that shelter. Woo seems to be enjoying himself though. He's got a pretty good attitude so far, I hope he can keep it. The rain continued through the night and it's not showing any sign of stopping soon. Sarah isn't feeling any sympathy for Lindsey thanks to Tonys story, but . . . she's just so naive and way too trusting.
Day seven at the Beauty camp and all the pretty people are starting to look like prunes. Nearly 24 hours in the rain and, like the others, everyone and everything is wet. Time to improve their shelter too, which allows the guys to discuss which girl is doing the least. Nobody's enjoying Jefra's whining, but this is probably the longest she's ever been out doors.
With all this rain LJ decides to go looking for the Hidden Immunity Idol instead of sitting around and waiting. Even without a clue he had no problem whatsoever in finding the idol and I stand by my earlier post that the guy hiding the idols is getting lazy. These were all too easy. In the next season he may as well just hang them off the flag post.
Day eight at the Brains camp and the rain has finally stopped. Spencer retrieves the TreeMail to find the challenge clue. Apparently they'll be moving water from one to the other by bucket. J'Tia decides she's gonna have some rice, out of the remaining 5% that she failed to dump. Tasha wants to practice (probably to keep her from killing J'Tia) and Spencer has figured out he just needs to slide under the radar if he wants to survive. They start practicing with coconut shells tossing water to each other.
Time for the challenge and both Beauty and Brawn are surprised to find Garrett voted out. Today's Immunity Challenge has one tribe member scoop water from the ocean, then move it bucket to bucket between tribe members to fill another bucket on a teeter totter which will drop a ball that two members will need to move through a maze to release their flag. That's a little easier than coconuts. Tony & Lindsey are sitting out for Brawn, while Jefra & Alexis sit out for Beauty. This should be fun.
The Beauty tribe is in the lead with Brawn right behind and then, as per usual, the Brains are . . . back there somewhere. Lack of a Brain is wetter than the ocean and way behind as Beauty finishes the first part and starts on the maze. Remember those turning tables? Brawn finishes the first part and moves on and catches up to Beauty while Brains is just finishing up. As Brains finally gets started on the maze Brawn wins first position and throws off Beauty's momentum.
Brains is still in this as they race to catch up. It was probably an even bigger surprise to them than anyone else when Brains overtook Beauty and won second place and Beauty gets their first date with Jeff at Tribal Council. Well done Brains, my apology for dismissing you so early.
The brawn tribe returns to their camp with their new tarp and Tony starts looking for new clues. This guy is all over every advantage he can get to stay ahead of the others. It's an interesting way to play the game, and he's friendly enough that it might work, but we've seen this backfire before. When they set up the hammock it falls apart, dropping one of the girls on her butt and everyone laughs.
There's no laughter over at the Beauty camp as they realize everything's still wet and they're due at Tribal in a few hours. At least they all knew it would happen eventually. They actually discussed whether anyone was ready to go home yet but there were no takers. The bigger alliance has targeted Brice tonight, but Brice thinks he's in the alliance. Surprise, surprise. Everyone on both sides seems to think Jeremiah is the swing vote. Jefra is like, WTH? This could be a fun tribal.
Jefra, Jeremiah and Alexis have decided to split their votes between Morgan and Brice, but they need to get LJ on board with that as well. Everyone gets ready and off they go to Tribal where they all get their torch and grab a seat. Jeff goes right to Jefra about camplife and then Brice about being in the Beauty tribe, apparently he feels pretty. Let's see how long that lasts. Jeff asks Brice about the paranoia at camp and Brice has figured out that he and Morgan seem to be on the outside. When he throws Alexis under the bus she's a bit surprised, but I'm not sure why. Then the idol is brought up, and how things have been planned during the day, and with that . . . It's time to vote.
Jeff gathers the votes and nobody plays the idol. No surprise there. Alexis is looking a little nervous as the votes are read . . . Alexis, Brice, Morgan, Alexis, Brice, Morgan . . . A three way tie. That leaves LJ, Jefra and Jeremiah to vote and split the tie. Second vote count gives us Brice, Brice and nobody cares about the third vote. Brice has been voted out, purple pants and all. Alexis still looks like a deer caught in the headlights as Jeff sends them back to camp.
Next week the Brawn tribe may throw a challenge. I wonder if it's the one where everyone seems to get bruised while blindfolded. Brice, in his end of credits cameo, figures he's been voted out to get rid of the most fashionable tribe member. Sure. Let's go with that.
Hope everyone enjoyed the review whether you had time to catch the show or not. Feel free to leave comments and then check out my Big Brother Canada Season Two review coming up right away because it's time for BBC. See you soon.
