With the usual "previously" review out of the way we join the live eviction show replay (what a surprise) and the in-house aftermath. Surprised that Sindy is actually crying now that Jordan is gone, since it was her plan. Zach and Kevin are trying to figure out where the votes came from and Zach figures the girls flipped. When he goes to Sarah she complains about being manipulated and starts defending her position and says Zach was the first one to draw a line in the sand and cross it, not her.
Ashleigh knows that if Godfrey wins she & Zach are going on the block and that either she or Pilar need to win. Finally we're back where we left the houseguests last episode, a mere 10 minutes in. Bobby reveals that he buzzed in with the full intent of throwing it and when he wins he targets Sindy. Now Godfrey's upset with Bobby because Sindy voted for him to stay, but Bobby threw it on the second attempt as planned. Bruno also throws it to stay under the radar this week. Not their best plan. Pilar gets the next one and eliminates Godfrey.
Kevin also wants to lay low and throws his guess. Pilar gets another one, surprising even herself and eliminates Brittnee. Four girls left. Ashleigh gets one and eliminates Sarah. Pilar tries and she's three for three and eliminates Willow. Pilar's last guess and she's right . . . Pilar is the new HoH. She thinks she needs Zach, Kevin and Ashleigh to get her through this one but I think she'll do fine. Immediately she and Ashleigh are doing the happy dance in the bedroom when Sindy comes to them and says she voted to keep Jordan. That lie could come back to haunt her if she gets caught, and she will . . . it's a small house.
Zach and Bobby are comparing notes and Zach finds out it was Sindy who voted out Jordan and there goes karma. Zach goes to Kevin and Pilar and Pilar is shocked. Time to put the target back on Sindy, right after we see Pilar's HoH room. We find out that Pilar is the fifth of ten kids. She reads her letter from home and her family is questioning who this Kevin guy is. She's surprised that her family is watching, not just the show but the after hours stuff as well. Bruno warns Kevin he may need to run.
Day 36 and it's time to wake up early for Sindy who gets up to do some damage control before the rest of the house is awake. She heads up to the HoH room to reveal her secret knowledge about the Chop Shop and who they're targeting. She needs to create a bigger target than herself but some of this information is already known. As Kevin says, Sindy needs to be stopped, with an "S."
Time for the Have Not competition and Pilar picks two captains, Kevin to lead the Red team and Willow to lead the Blue. Kevin picks his team Godfrey, Brittnee & Sarah, while
Willow picks Ashleigh, Bobby & Zach. Bruno and Sindy are automatically Haves for the week, having not been picked for the competition.
They change into soccer outfits and Pilar makes a pretty hot referee. Teams need to get into giant blow up balls before kicking the soccer ball to score goals and the team with the most points will be the Haves for the week. 1-1 soon becomes 4-1 and then 5-1 for the Blue team. Then it's 5-2, and quickly 5-3 and here comes the Have-Time Show with Bruno the Bear. It looks like a lot of fun but it's obvious to Sarah that Kevin is throwing the competition and she's pretty pissed. The final score is 11-3 for the Blue team and the Have-Nots are Kevin, Sarah, Brittnee (again) and Godfrey.
Back in the HoH Pilar discusses her game with Kevin and he feels that puts him in a great position. Time to strategize as they discuss their relationships with the others in the house. Through a process of elimination they've decided they should target Godfrey and Sindy. You'd almost think Sindy was psychic because she immediately goes to Pilar to discuss bigger targets. Sindy's right that Pilar can't play this game with her emotions, but that's why she has a showmance. Zach and Kevin agree that Sindy needs to go and Kevin goes back to the HoH room to breakup Sindy and Pilar's chat fest.
Godfrey's turn to try and convince Pilar to keep him. He knows he's likely to go up and just wants to make sure she's thinking for herself. He tells her she's doing whatever Ashleigh tells her to do, and Ashleigh is doing whatever Zach tells her to do. He even plays the family card in desperation but she doesn't look like she's falling for it. I think Pilar is a lot smarter than anyone gives her credit for, even if she's not as manipulative as the rest of them.
She goes to Kevin who's lounging alone in the hot tub and he needs to help her focus on the right stuff and he knows that Godfrey is really smart and can get into someone's head. He doesn't want Godfrey manipulating his showmance. I'm not sure how much longer though that Kevin can continue the showmance without getting completely sucked into Pilar's universe and having her be the big winner. It could happen.
Time for the nomination ceremony and we'll see who has more sway over Pilar's decisions. Pilar enters the Vault and organizes her shortlist: Godfrey, who's really just a pawn; Willow, who's a wild card because nobody knows where her head is at; Sindy, who's been lying to everyone from the start; and Bobby who may be targeting Kevin. Godfrey is convinced that Pilar gets her orders from Ashleigh and Ashleigh takes her orders from Zach, but Godfrey is . . . Wrong.
Pilar locks in her nominations and returns to the living room to close out the ceremony. She has nominated . . . Godfrey because he's such a smart player, and Sindy because she's such a strong competitor. Sindy, as usual, takes it personally while Godfrey just feels that Pilar is doing what she's told. If Pilar has a backdoor plan she may get to use it because neither of these two are going to throw the PoV.
That's it for tonight's episode. If you're enjoying the recaps feel free to let me know. If you're not, let me know that too . . . and how to make them better. I'll be back tomorrow evening for another review and we'll see who wins the power of veto and how that will change Pilar's nominations. See you real soon.
