Anyway, back to the night shoot . . . It's the evening of Day 19, and Spencer is so angry with Kass for flipping. He just wants her to stop talking. It was a stupid move as far as I'm concerned but it did flush the two idols. Kass thinks it was a big win, at least for her.
Morning of Day 20 and Kass figures Morgan should fetch the water, which now has Morgan upset with Kass. It doesn't help when the others agree, so Morgan goes to get the water. She's been flying a little under the radar so far, at least to me, but maybe that's because she does so little and I don't notice it. Which one's Morgan again?
Time to get to this week's Reward Challenge. Everyone marches up the beach and divides into two teams. They need to stand on a floating platform, then race through some obstacles to a big chest, carry the chest to a tower, climb the tower, haul the chest up, and solve the puzzle . . . to win an Outback Steakhouse dinner with margaritas. Mmm, margaritas.
Everyone's in the water and up and over the teeter totter net, then across the balance beam until Woo falls off. He makes it up pretty quickly to get to the chest. Both teams are pretty close as they hit the wall and start climbing. Purple is a little ahead pulling their chest up the tower but not by much. There are ten pieces to the puzzle and orange has started pulling ahead. Eight pieces to four, nine and . . . that's it, their tenth piece and topper and they're done. Orange wins reward. Jeremiah, Jefra, Morgan, LJ and Spencer are off for an awesome meal. Purple gets a free walk back to camp.
Tony hates to lose but he accepts it as they get back to camp to enjoy their rice. Tony and Trish are already discussing who's next and Kass is fine as long as it's not her. Tony is a little concerned that he can't read her. Tony and Woo start wondering about the idol and Tony goes looking for it.
Meanwhile, at the Outback Steakhouse the orange team is treated like royalty. Too bad the restaurant doesn't treat everyone that way anymore, if they did there'd be more of them around. While wiping his hands, Spencer gets a little piece of paper that he hopes is an idol clue. As they return to camp the tropical rains begin, but when it lets up a little he wanders off to read his note and sure enough, it's a clue.
Woo's getting suspicious and goes in search of Spencer. Time for his ninja stealth mode. He saw where Spencer was looking and stepped out from the bushes which causes Spencer to stop and say he was just out for a walk. Without your pants? Nice walk. Woo picks up Spencer's pants and tosses them after him into the water, which causes the clue to fall to the ground only to be recovered by Woo. Woo slips the clue into his pocket and hightails it back to camp, with Spencer close behind.
Woo gets back to camp and shares the clue with LJ. When Spencer returns he gathers his crew and there you have it, time for the mad treasure hunt. Even Morgan has gotten out of bed to go looking. Spencer is pissed as everyone is digging through the muddy banks looking for that idol. Fortunately, against all odds, and even under Kass' watchful eye, Spencer found it.
Time for the Immunity Challenge. Jeff takes back the necklace and describes the challenge. Everyone needs to balance on the balls of their feet on a beam with a post balancing on their head pressed against a crosspiece above it. That's it, nice and simple, right?
Kass lasts about 3 seconds. There goes Jeremiah and then Trish. Out goes Tony. Spencer wavers, but recovers, then out goes Morgan.Woo wobbles, weebles, wobbles again, and he's out. After an hour Jefra slips and looks like she's got some serious pain. There goes LJ. Time for a showdown. 90 minutes and it's still going on. Spencer is fighting to stay in this while Tasha looks like a rock . . . and out of the blue she stumbles. Spencer has won Individual Immunity. Finally things seem to be going his way.
Since they can't get rid of Spencer, Tony is promoting the idea of either Tasha or Morgan. He really wants Morgan to be Plan A because she's so lazy around camp, with Tasha as the backup. Meanwhile, Spencer realizes that he needs to flip back Kass. He's not happy about it, but he wants to win so he approaches Kass and she's open to the possibility. He pitches Tony as their target. Kass may just do it, then again were talking about Kass.
As the sun sets it's time for Tribal. Say hello to the first member of the jury as we welcome back Sarah. Jeff asks about the fallout after last council and Kass says she got chewed out a bit. Spencer admits he wasn't happy. Jeff asks Tony about how he figures out tonight's vote and Tony thinks he's got it all planned out and then Jeff asks Morgan how it feels to be in her shoes. She admits she's unliked and not likely to win. She's always gotten by on being cute, not on working hard, but she says she'll try to work harder. Sure she will.
Now we start discussing how it's all about numbers and that someone is always on the bottom. Spencer mentions that, even though Kass flipped she's at the bottom and can't feel too good about it but Tony says she's fine where she is. Then they start worrying about Kass and her position in her new alliance, and she compares her gameplay to a visit to Vegas. Tony's starting to look a little worried as it's time to vote.
Jeff gathers the votes and as usual asks for the Hidden Immunity Idol but none are played. Time to read the votes . . . Tony, Tony, Tony, Tony, Morgan, Morgan, Queen Morgan, Morgan, Morgan, and finally Morgan, the second member of the jury. I guess there was no need for a Plan B. So much for voting out a threat. On the upside, I guess she won't have to worry about working harder.
Next week, everyone starts getting paranoid and allies become enemies. That's not really much of a surprise at this point in the game. Morgans farewell VoiceOver still goes back to how cute she is and how old Kass is, "you're forty, get over it." Personally I think the girl needs to get over herself, and real soon before her slightly above average looks begin to fade. Yeah, I said it, she ain't that cute.
See you all next week, or come on back earlier for our reviews of the next episode of The Amazing Race. Looking for more Gord and Wayne? Check out or video posts, . . . and leave comments, we love comments.
