Day 17 and as morning comes they're still discussing who might flip and Kass seems to have upset Sarah by saying she's not sure about her. Not the best plan for Kass to call her out on it, better to keep that to herself and just tell Sarah what she wants to hear, but a little late for that now.
At the Solana camp Tony is having fun with everyone. He's obviously enjoying himself as they retrieve Treemail that tells them to pack up and head over to the Aparri camp. Everyone is assuming it's a merge and if so, it's a good sign because they have two Hidden Immunity Idols. Even Tony and LJ aren't aware each of them has one. At Aparri they get the heads up that the other tribe is coming over.
Solana arrives bearing gifts. Mmm, wine. Everybody's together and the tribes have merged. They also learn there's another idol hidden somewhere near camp with "special powers". The new tribe name is discussed and they decide on Solarrion as they settle down to brunch. Which is when Tony realizes that he doesn't have the numbers he needs and may need to rely on Sarah. I guess we're about to see where Sarah's loyalties lie.
As the day goes on the girls are all doing yoga on the beach while LJ and Tony are tending the fire. Tony knows he needs to flip Sarah and makes his move. He has to make her believe him, but she remembers how it felt when he hollered final five. She's not bending to his pressure . . . yet, and looks pretty good sitting in the catbird seat at the moment.
Kass, Sarah and Jeremiah start discussing who has the idol and Kass tries to control who to vote out. I think Kass needs to learn to back down before she forces Sarah to flip and it'll be Kass going home. Jeremiah points out that they can't argue if they want to stay a tight six and it's good advice but the women don't appear to be listening.
The next morning all the women seem to think they need to get into a cat fight to start their day. Everyone except Trish at least. Sarah and Kass, are still at odds about who to vote out, and Tasha is siding with Sarah which is angering Kass. Sarah thinks they need to take out Tony or Woo rather than someone who doesn't pose a threat and personally I'd agree with her. But I'm not Kass.
Time for the immunity challenge and Jeff retrieves the Tribal Immunity, now what they all covet is Individual Immunity. Today's challenge is to balance on a floating platform and this seems geared to have one of the women win, but maybe not. Everybody is up and balanced for their first fifteen minute round and after fifteen minutes they move up the floating platform to the next level. A little less foothold and a little more pressure.
People are starting to complain but still everyone is solid thirty minutes in. Time to move to the top of the platform, and now it gets difficult. There goes Spencer, then Kass, then LJ, then Jefra, then Sarah, Morgan, Trish, Jeremiah, Tasha . . . I lost track of the order and it's down to Tony or Woo as the wind picks up. It doesn't take long before Tony wishes Woo luck as he goes in. Well done Woo.
Sarah knows that she's the swing vote and so far she's still with her new tribe but there's that bad blood between her and Kass. Group discussion brings up Jefra, but Sarah really wants to target Tony, unbeknownst to Tony, who's intending to put Sarah on a pedestal to sway her vote. Trish thinks it'd be easier to pull someone else over and mentions the morning cat fight.
Tony's back in Sarah's face trying to force her hand but she knows he's the biggest threat. As she says, he's just like her and she'd get rid of her at this point in the game. Sarah tells him she's thinking about it and that has Tony suspicious enough that he'll likely play the idol. Meanwhile, Trish starts working Kass about voting out Sarah. So now they're all voting out Sarah. Once again, the supposed Brain has proven to be not so smart.
Time for Tribal Council as everyone enters and grabs a seat. Jeff gets what is almost a farewell speech from LJ before turning to Tony and getting his feedback. Then he asks Kass about which of the guys should be worried. Tony admits he has an idol and pulls his out to prove a point and intends to wear it with pride. Great way to flush an idol. Everybody's all keen to vote so Jeff sends them off to do so.
As Jeff gathers the votes he asks if anyone has a Hidden Immunity Idol to play and Tony gets up and takes the idol over to Jeff who admits it is an idol. Tony wants to use it to keep LJ safe. LJ follows suit takes out his idol and gives it to cover Tony. Idiots.
Time to count the votes. Jefra, Sarah, Jefra, Sarah, Jefra (who's starting to shake), Sarah, Jefra, Sarah (maybe she should have just told Tony what he wanted to hear), Jefra, Sarah, one vote left . . . and it's farewell Sarah. Kass flipped and Spencer is pissed. I don't blame him.
It never ceases to amaze me how a tribe with numbers almost always falls apart at the merge because somebody gets their feelings hurt. Apparently Kass doesn't realize that she's just moved herself from near the top of one group to the bottom of the other. My guess is they'll keep her around for one more round until they have better numbers and then she's gone. Big mistake on her part.
Next time, everybody seems to be angry with Kass about one thing or another and she may be gone sooner that I thought, despite the mad dash for the new Immunity Idol. Hope everyone enjoyed the review. See you all next week.
