Here's a link to the teams. Highlights for me are the first self-identified indigenous teams for Amazing Race Canada. We had some indigenous racers in other seasons but this is the first time where the indigenous part of the team is a key part of their bio. And they are both from the Enoch Cree Nation, which is just outside of Edmonton. It's a bit of a celebrity team, featuring the present Mrs. Universe Ashley Callingbull Burnham. I'm a big fan of Ashley because she's not just a mactor who happens to be a beauty pageant winner, she's also got a strong voice for indigenous issue. Very outspoken and a great model for my kid and all other indigenous kids out there. Ashley is racing with her dad, Joel.
Other teams include a pair of load and fun-loving twins from Edmonton, Rita and Yvette. Also, we have Steph and Kristen, a dating couple from Toronto who are also top notch university athletes, and best friends from Windsor, Anthony and Brandon.
If I'm functioning okay tomorrow, I'll update the rest of the teams. But it's off to surgery (I hate dentists, it's one my list of worst fears). Still, it's great to finally start the Amazing Race Canada blog for Season 4. It's gonna be a great summer.
